Middle School Rafting Trip – Sign Ups Open!

Middle School students are invited to join us for a Rafting Adventure!  Limited Space!!!
When: FridaySaturday, April 21st & 22nd
Where: Whitewater Express’ High Adventure Ocoee Camp, Copperhill, TN (about 4 hours away)
Cost: $40/per child. No cost for parent to attend (one parent per child – we would love for any parents to join us that are interested!)

Ski for Life 2017 – Sign Ups are Open!

All High School Students are invited to join us for the annual March for Life Trip. This year will also be skiing again!


When
: Thursday, January 26th – Sunday, January 29th, 2017
Where: March for Life – Washington, DC; Winterplace Ski Resort – Ghent, WV

Cost:
$350.00 for students who plan to ski at ski resort
($100 non-refundable payment due to hold spot; Final payment due by 01/04/17).
$200.00 for students who want to join in on the trip, but will not be skiing
($100 non-refundable payment due to hold spot; Final payment due by 01/04/17).

**Note: Teens can earn a $100 credit towards this trip if they sign up for a YDisciple group and attend/participate in that group.

Cost includes: Lodging, bus ride, ski lift tickets, ski rentals, breakfast, sweatshirt, ticket to a Danny Gokey Concert (Christian Artist that once competed on American Idol), as well as a catered dinner before the show.

Trip Schedule MFL/Skiing 2017

  • Thursday, January 26th: Leave Augusta around 10pm to drive through the night to Washington, DC
  • Friday, January 27th: Arrive in DC for the March for Life. Participate in the Youth Rally and March for Life.
    • Head to Beckley, WV for night.
  • Saturday, January 28th: Skiing at Winterplace Ski Resort (all day)
  • Sunday, January 29th: Skiing at Winterplace Ski Resort (until 1pm)
    • leave for Augusta, GA late Sunday afternoon.

PLEASE NOTE: Students will be responsible for lunches and dinners during trip (4 lunches, 4 dinners), as well as daily bib/helmet rentals at ski resort ($16/daily).

After you have signed up:

1)We will send you a permission form within 24 business hours that you will sign electronically. You will also be sent a link to pay the $100 down-payment online.
Once the permission slip is digitally signed & payment is made, your child will be officially signed up for the trip! Please note: Your child’s space is NOT confirmed until liability form and down-payment is made.

2) After your child is officially signed up for the trip (form and deposit received), you will receive a “2017 March & Ski for Life Trip: Important Dates and Notes” email.

3) We will send you an email reminder on 12/27/2016 if you have a balance due for your child. Please make sure the balance is paid by 01/04/2017.

Trip Schedule Fall 2015: (Appalachian Trail: Neels Gap to Hogpen, approx. 6.8 miles miles):
We will leave Aquinas High School parking lot Saturday morning at 6am and arrive at the Appalachian Trail -Neel’s Gap, US 19/129 around 10am. We will hike north toward Hogpen Gap stopping at Whitley Gap shelter to camp Saturday evening. We will wake Sunday morning (have Mass on the mountain if Father joins us or return in time for 5:30 mass at St. Mary on the Hill), hike out and return to Augusta that afternoon.

Join the HS Girls Youth Leaders for a weekend of prayer, fellowship, and talking about what it means to truly trust in the Lord- to get out of the boat and trust him, even when it looks daunting. We will have Mass, confession, Stations of the Cross, and even a DANCE PARTY!
Cost is $15 and includes meals and a t-shirt.

5pm at St. Mary’s on the Hill Church

Fr. Richard, chaplain at Aquinas High School, will lead all teens in a “Youth Stations of the Cross”. Join us each Friday evening at 5pm in the St. Mary’s Church.

This is a great opportunity for the youth to have time to reflect on the Cross during this time of Lent.


Total Trust- Lenten Youth Retreat

March 6-7, 2015 at St. Teresa’s of Avila –
~HS and MS youth invited~

There will be a deanery wide youth retreat on Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7 and will be held at St. Teresa’s of Avila in Grovetown, GA. The retreat will be led by the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy and our theme focuses on having total trust in the love and mercy of Jesus.

Jesus is yearning for us to accept His love and mercy in abundance. We have nothing to doubt or fear. But what is Total Trust? We will explore that and more!

The retreat fee includes dinner on Friday as well as breakfast and lunch on Saturdayand a t-shirt! Registration is required.
